The Washington DC Steppers began in the winter of 2014. Realizing the growing popularity in Chicago Stepping in neighboring cities such as Baltimore, Philadelphia, Central Maryland and Northern Virginia, our interest was to introduce the same exciting, highly stylized, elegant and classy style of dance to the Washington DC Metropolitan area. Its founders and principle trainers include the most notable local steppers among a cast of many. They include: Mr. Joe Murray, . Stepping dancing in the Washington DC Metropolitan area is growing in both interest and popularity, to new levels unforeseen.
